Emergency Services 24H

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of emergency-services24h.com and the contractor referral service offered through it. Last updated August 16, 2026.

What this service is

Emergency Services 24H is a referral service. When you submit a request, we pass your details to one or more independent contractors licensed for that trade in your area, and they contact you directly.

We do not perform repair work. We do not employ plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, locksmiths, restoration crews or any other tradesperson. Any contract for work is between you and the contractor, not between you and us. We are compensated by contractors for referrals.

What we do not warrant

We screen contractors for current licensing and liability insurance in the trade we refer them for. We do not supervise their work, set their prices, or guarantee their workmanship, timeliness, conduct or results. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any contractor, or for any loss arising from work they perform or fail to perform.

Before you authorize work, verify the contractor's license number with your state licensing board, confirm they carry insurance for the job, and get the price in writing. Those three checks are yours to make and they are the ones that matter.

Information on this site

The safety guidance and price ranges published here are general information for a national audience. Prices vary by region, season, time of day and the specifics of your property. Cost figures are indicative ranges drawn from named public sources, not quotes, and nothing here is an offer to perform work at a stated price.

Nothing on this site is medical, legal or insurance advice. Coverage questions belong with your insurer, and safety-critical work belongs with a licensed professional.

Your responsibilities

  • Give accurate contact details and an accurate description of the problem. A contractor dispatched on wrong information may charge you for the call.
  • Submit requests only for property you own or are authorized to arrange repairs for.
  • Do not use the form for anything other than a genuine service request. Automated, abusive or fraudulent submissions may be blocked.
  • Do not attempt work this site tells you to route to a professional. Gas, live electrical, structural, sewage and height work are on that list for a reason.

Emergencies

This service is not an emergency dispatch service and is not a substitute for 911. If there is fire, a gas smell, a medical emergency, or water reaching electrical equipment, leave and call 911 or your utility. Submitting a form does not summon emergency services.

Contacting you

By submitting a request you consent to be contacted by us and by matched contractors at the number and email you provided, including by automated dialing system, prerecorded message and text. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. See the privacy policy for how to opt out.

Sponsored content and links

Some outbound links and some published articles are paid placements. They are disclosed as such, and paid links carry the appropriate link attributes. Payment never buys a change to the safety guidance on this site.

Intellectual property

The text, diagrams and photography on this site belong to Emergency Services 24H. You may quote short extracts with attribution and a link. You may not republish pages wholesale or use the content to train a competing directory without written permission.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Emergency Services 24H is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of this site or from any contractor referral. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, which for homeowners is zero.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page.

A referral is not a recommendation of any specific job

Being in our network means a contractor held a valid license and insurance for their trade when we checked. It is not a warranty of their work on your job. Verify the license, confirm the insurance, and get the price in writing before work begins.
